Whether we are a first or sixth generation Christian, we walk today in the freedom and blessing for which our mothers and fathers paid a price.
Taking the example of Joshua, Eric calls us to a lifestyle which enjoys our inheritance and takes responsibility for what we do with it. Just because we have fruit from the promised land does not mean we live in the promised land. You know you live in the promised land when you can pick the fruit at will.
Our responsibility is to receive what our fathers labored and fought for. Though we receive it without cost, we must value our inheritance in order to build upon it and pass and increase it to the next generation.
