High-Impact Polystyrene, or HIPS for short, is the perfect companion filament for ABS printing. It has a melting temperature very close to that of ABS and the two materials adhere well to each other. Most importantly, however, HIPS is soluble in Limonene, which means that you can creat an ABS print using HIPS for the supports, then soak the printed product in Limonene to dissolve the supports, leaving your finished product exactly as designed without the hassle of breaking off and sanding away ABS support structures.

This 1 kg spool features a thickness of 1.75mm ±0.10mm, with a roundness variation of only 0.03mm. It has a nominal processing temperature of 230° C (446°F). Thickness and roundness factors are laser measured at the factory to ensure accuracy over the entire length of the filament.

For best results, use a dual-extruder 3D printer.
